Aug.-21-2020 course change
There will be a course change this year for Trails 4 Tails. This will help with social distancing for our group as well as for other park users. It removes some road running with traffic concerns as well as having some other advantages. The new course will be a 5.72 mile loop run 7 times for 40 miles. There will be a limited aid station about 3.7 miles at the Rummel Farm parking lot. This will also be the relay exchange point. There will still be limited aid at the pavilion at 5.7 miles and just prior to that the course will cross the parking lot for anyone who wants to use their car for support.
This will use some trails that we have not run in the past. It will not run the often crowded LaHo trail or the road going to and from LaHo. I hope everyone will enjoy the changes.
Trails 4 Tails 2020 Covid 19 guidelines
To have a safe event for everyone and continue to benefit the local animals in need we will follow these guidelines for this year.
All participants will need to sign the Covid 19 release. See attached. Everyone will need to follow current federal, PA State, and Park guidelines.
There will only be pre registration. Register by Sept 5th to be guaranteed a shirt and for lower price. Last day to register is Sept 18th. No race day registration.
We will have a modified race day check in. Ultra check in will start at 6:30. Relay check in will be after ultra start. Wear masks at check-in. Follow directions for your goodie bag pick up.
We encourage a “Start as you like”. If you keep your own time you can start after check-in. A group start will be provided if needed at 7:00for ultra and 8:00 for relay.
Plan to self support for your run. Add stations will be water only. Perhaps some single serve cookies. You can keep your supplies handy at the start/finish area. Course will pass through the parking lot if you want to keep supplies at your car.
There will be no post run food or activities. We encourage everyone to leave as they finish.
